Candelilla WAX
From the Candelilla plant, a small succulent that grows in bunches and looks like it’s all stems. A key ingredient for its moisturising and anti-inflammatory properties, helping to soothe irritated skin and reduce redness. It also forms a protective barrier, shielding the skin from environmental stressors while locking in hydration for a smooth, healthy complexion.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride
Derived from coconut oil and glycerin. Helps moisturise and replenish. Enhances the delivery of active ingredients. It has anti-inflammatory properties, making it suitable for sensitive or irritated skin.
Carnauba Wax
Carnauba wax comes from the leaves of the Carnauba Tree, known as “The Tree of Life” and which is native to Brazil. It helps to hydrate and soften skin, while also forming a protective layer on the skin's surface, which helps to retain moisture in the skin. Non blocking, it imparts a degree of glossiness and thus radiance to the skin.
Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract.
Rich in Vitamin C. Essential for collagen production and for brightening the skin. Helps even out skin tone. Antibacterial properties that help to soothe and clear, making it beneficial for acne-prone skin. Its antibacterial properties see it frequently used as a preservative, but it is also rich in Vitamin E, Polyphenols and Flavonoids, ingredients which are known to both help protect and repair damaged skin cells.
Iron Oxides
Naturally occurring, non-toxic mineral compounds that provide rich, natural pigment. Known for their excellent opacity, they effectively cover imperfections and create a smooth, even skin tone, making them an ideal ingredient for flawless makeup coverage.
Jojoba
Benefits of using jojoba come from it having antibacterial, soothing and moisturising properties, and being rich in Vitamin E to support skin regeneration and wound healing. An excellent emollient in skincare jojoba also gives a degree of slip to our foundations for fast and easy application. It's texture is so similar to the sebum or oil that our skin produces, that it absorbs beautifully without clogging or leaving a heavy and oily feeling. Not just for dry skin, it can be used on oily and sensitive skins as it is non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic.
Kaolin
A soft clay mineral believed to have detoxifying properties, helping to remove toxins and pollutants from the skin. It has a tightening effect on the skin, which may help to reduce the appearance of pores and improve skin tone and texture.
Mica
Cosmetic-grade mica is an ideal natural colourant, available in a stunning range of shades with reflective effects that are subtle in our foundation. A natural mineral valued for its shimmering, light-reflecting properties, adding a radiant glow to the skin. Safe and non-toxic, it helps blur fine lines and imperfections for a youthful appearance. Mica enhances our foundation’s finish, preventing it from looking flat or dull while imparting a natural, luminous radiance.
Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Fruit)
A skincare powerhouse packed with Vitamins A, E, and F, along with essential fatty acids and antioxidants. Known for its nourishing and hydrating properties, it promotes skin healing and regeneration, making it ideal for use after skin treatments. Shea Butter also provides a natural defence against UVA, UVB rays, and blue light from screens. With its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial benefits, it’s a highly prized ingredient for soothing, protecting, and restoring the skin.
Squalane Oil
Found in olives, rice bran and sugarcane. Can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as improve skin elasticity and firmness. It can help to balance oil production and prevent clogged pores. Enhances the absorption of other skincare ingredients.
Titanium Dioxide
Provides a physical sunscreen agent that reflects and scatters UV radiation, providing protection against both UVA, UVB rays and blue light from screens. It is suitable for sensitive and acne-prone skin as it won’t clog pores.
Vitamin E
A powerful antioxidant that helps to moisturise the skin while protecting it from environmental damage. It supports skin repair, strengthens the skin barrier, and promotes a healthy, radiant complexion. Known for reducing inflammation, it helps soothe irritated skin and improves elasticity, making it an essential ingredient for preventing premature signs of ageing.
Zea Mays
Derived from corn. Rich in linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid. It is used for its moisturising and emollient properties, helping to hydrate and soften the skin.
Zinc
Applied topically, its soothing, anti-inflammatory properties make it perfect for various skin conditions and all skin types, particularly those with sunburn, acne and rosacea. Known for its ability to block both UVA and UVB rays, and blue light damage, help with regulating oil production, assist the speed of wound healing and promote healthy skin.
